Yoga for your morning flow

This exercise may require between 15 and 20 minutes of your time.

Prepare for your morning flow

You can lay out your yoga mat on outside or inside, whatever you prefer. Wherever it may be, first sit down on the mat with your knees bent under you and absorb the world within and then around you. Really feel the connection within and without, inside and outside. Then perform 1 to 5 count inhalation with a second pause and 1 to 7 count of exhalation with a second pause in between. Repeat it a couple of times. Pay close attention to your breathing while you do this.

Exercises to include into your practice

Then relax and bring your palm together against each other in front of you. Keep it upright and slowly begin to lift your hand over your head and keep your palms upright. Hold this position for few seconds to maximum a minute. Breathe deep and slowly as you are in this position. Bring the hand down in a slow motion.

Next, bend down with your arms stretched out forth and gently stretch as much as you can. As if you are trying to separate your spine but without any violent force. Keep it there for 20 seconds to a min as you wish. Then gradually get back to your sitting position.

Now, get on to your fours which is on your hands and knees. You will mostly focus on your palm now and set yourself on a gentle rotation clock and anti-clockwise. Now turn your hand towards you, fingers pointing at you and lift your palm up with the fingers grounded on the floor. Hold it there for few seconds and get back to your initial position and relax.

If you have heard of a cobra pose, perform a cobra pose for 20 seconds to a minute as you wish. Then lay there for a moment. Now gather yourself and lift your mass up on your hand and feet and hold on to this positon for 10 to 15 seconds. Later on you can adjust these times according to your needs.

These simple exercises can boost your energy making you absolutely ready for the day. This is certainly a way better than not doing these exercise at all.
